How can we help?

Answers for AppStorePack on the web and in ChatGPT, Claude and other AI assistants. If yours isn’t here, email us.

Getting started

What does AppStorePack do?

It makes the App Store listing for your iOS app: screenshots designed from templates, the 1024 × 1024 app icon, and the App Store copy (name, subtitle, keywords, promotional text and description), all checked against Apple’s image sizes and character limits. Work in the web app or from an AI assistant you connect, then export the files or push them to App Store Connect.

How do I sign in?

On the sign-in page, continue with Google, or enter your email and we’ll send you a one-time sign-in link. Use the same account in the web app and in every assistant you connect, and you’ll see the same projects everywhere.

Which screenshot sizes does it make?
  • iPhone 6.9″ at 1320 × 2868 pixels, in every project. App Store Connect scales these down for smaller iPhones.
  • iPad 13″ at 2064 × 2752 pixels, if your app runs on iPad.
  • iPhone Duo, outer and inner displays, if your app is optimized for it.

Turn on iPad or iPhone Duo in the web app’s Export step, or ask your assistant to turn them on for the project.

Why doesn’t the web editor show changes I made from a chat?

The editor doesn’t update by itself when a project changes from a chat. Reload the page to see the changes, and reload before you carry on editing there.

ChatGPT and Claude

How do I add AppStorePack to ChatGPT?
  1. In ChatGPT, open Plugins (chatgpt.com/plugins), find AppStorePack and install it.
  2. When AppStorePack opens, sign in if it asks you to. Check the email it shows, then click Allow.
  3. Start a new chat and ask, for example, “Make App Store screenshots for my iOS app.” You can also type @ and choose AppStorePack.

To add it by URL instead, for example as a custom MCP server, use https://www.appstorepack.com/api/mcp with OAuth.

How do I add AppStorePack to Claude?

In Claude on the web or in the desktop app, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector and enter https://www.appstorepack.com/api/mcp. Sign in when AppStorePack asks, then click Allow.

For Claude Code, create a personal access token on your Account page. It shows the command that adds AppStorePack.

It connected to the wrong AppStorePack account. How do I switch?

If your browser is already signed in to AppStorePack, connecting uses that account. The Allow screen shows its email. To switch:

  1. Sign out on your Account page.
  2. In the assistant, disconnect AppStorePack and connect it again.
  3. Sign in with the account you want, then click Allow.
How do I disconnect an assistant?

On your Account page, find it under Connected apps and click Disconnect. It loses access right away and has to sign in again to use your account. You can also remove AppStorePack in the assistant’s own settings. Personal access tokens, used by Claude Code, are on the same page: click Revoke to stop one.

What can an assistant do in my account?

What you agreed to on the Allow screen:

  • See your projects, screenshot designs, App Store copy and plan.
  • Create and edit projects, including uploading your screenshots and logo.
  • Render previews and export bundles.
  • If you’ve added an App Store Connect key, list your apps there and update a listing, after showing you the changes.

It can’t delete your projects, and it never submits your app for review.

What does AppStorePack see of my chats?

Only the requests the assistant sends to AppStorePack, such as “save this subtitle” or “show my screenshot design.” We don’t receive the rest of your conversation. The chat itself is covered by your agreement with the assistant’s provider, such as OpenAI or Anthropic. See the Privacy Policy.

Screenshots and uploads

How do I add screenshots from a chat?

Ask the assistant to add screenshots to your project. An upload panel opens in the chat, with a tile for each screenshot in your design and one for the app icon. Drop a file on a tile, or click the tile to choose one. Files go straight to AppStorePack, not through the chat.

If your assistant can’t show the panel, add screenshots in the web editor instead. Claude Code can upload files from your computer itself.

Which files can I upload?

PNG, JPEG or WebP images, up to 20 MB each. Upload screenshots of your app’s full screen: AppStorePack places each one in the template’s device frame.

For the icon, upload your logo. A square logo at least 1024 pixels wide works best, ideally on a transparent background. AppStorePack makes the 1024 × 1024 App Store icon from it on a solid background, since Apple doesn’t accept transparent icons, and you can then change the background color and the logo’s size.

An upload failed. What does the message mean?
  • “Use a PNG, JPEG or WebP …” The file is another format, such as HEIC or PDF. Convert it, then upload it again.
  • “… must be 20 MB or smaller.” Save a smaller copy, for example as JPEG, and upload that.
  • “Apply a template first.” The project has no screenshot design yet. Choose a template, then upload.
  • “The project was busy” Several uploads arrived at once. Upload that file again.
  • “That image couldn’t be read.” The file may be damaged. Save it again and retry.

Exporting

What’s in the export bundle?

A zip with:

  • Full-resolution screenshots for each device in the project, in your order.
  • The 1024 × 1024 app icon.
  • The App Store creative assets (product page header and search results images), if you made them.
  • Your App Store copy, and a manifest that lists the files.

Upload the files in App Store Connect yourself, or let AppStorePack push them for you.

Why can’t I export?

Exporting is part of AppStorePack Pro. See Pricing. Your projects stay saved, so you can subscribe whenever you’re ready and export then.

Subscribed, but an assistant still says export isn’t included? Ask it which AppStorePack account it’s connected to. If that isn’t the account you subscribed with, switch accounts and ask it to export again.

App Store Connect

How do I connect App Store Connect?
  1. In App Store Connect, go to Users and Access → Integrations → App Store Connect API. Create a key just for AppStorePack, with the App Manager role.
  2. Download the key’s .p8 file. Apple lets you download it only once.
  3. On your Account page, enter the Issuer ID and Key ID, and choose the .p8 file.

AppStorePack checks the key with Apple before saving it, then stores it encrypted. The Security page explains how it’s protected.

What does a push change?
  • The name, subtitle, keywords, promotional text and description, in your project’s language. Fields you’ve left empty in AppStorePack are skipped, not cleared.
  • The screenshots for each device in your project. They replace the screenshots on the version you’re preparing.

You see the changes before anything is pushed. The web app asks you to confirm them; in a chat, the assistant shows them and asks for your OK first.

The push says there’s no editable version. What do I do?

AppStorePack can only change a version you’re still preparing, or one Apple rejected. If your current version is live or in review, create a new version in App Store Connect (for example 1.0.1), then push again.

Does AppStorePack submit my app for review?

No, never. When your listing looks right in App Store Connect, submit it for review there.

How do I remove my App Store Connect key?

Click Remove next to the key on your Account page to delete it from AppStorePack. You can also revoke the key in App Store Connect, which stops it working everywhere.

Plans and billing

What’s free, and what needs a subscription?

Creating projects, designing screenshots, the icon and App Store copy, and previewing them are free. Exporting the bundle and pushing to App Store Connect need a Pro subscription. Pricing has the details.

How do I cancel my subscription?

On your Account page, click Manage subscription. It opens the Stripe billing portal, where you can cancel. You keep Pro until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and it doesn’t renew after that.

Can I get a refund?

See the Refund & Cancellation Policy. If something went wrong or you were charged by mistake, email us within 14 days of the charge.

Account and data

How do I delete a project?

On the Projects page, click ✕ on the project and confirm. That removes its screenshots, icon and copy, and can’t be undone. Assistants can’t delete projects.

How do I close my account or get a copy of my data?

Email [email protected] from the address you sign in with. The Privacy Policy explains what we keep and for how long.

Where does my data go?

Your account and projects are stored with Supabase, and AppStorePack runs on Railway. When you ask the web app to write App Store copy or captions, the text you give it goes to Anthropic’s API, which doesn’t use it to train models. If you’ve added App Store Connect, your listing goes to Apple only when you ask to list your apps, plan a push or push. The Privacy Policy lists every provider we use.

How do I report a security issue?

Email [email protected]. The Security page explains how we protect your App Store Connect key, tokens and connected apps.
